I feel this is the best motherboard suited for content creation and workstation usage and less for gaming and VR, sure this would make a great gaming and or VR station but many of the features would be under utilized in any other usage scenario.
The obvious strength in this board is the ability to connect NVMe drives through U.2 and this favors content creation scenarios where SSD speeds are hindering the time to process content.
Having dual U.2 ports is the ideal solution to improving the capacity and speed issues that make all other boards obsolete and this the ideal board to want to have running your NVMe drives.
PCIe Gen3 x4 22110 M.2 Interface is also suited for an NVMe drive, using an Intel M.2 to U.2 cable is ideal as it has a very low profile to fit under most VGA cards.
This board supports the latest 2011-V processors with Boost Max 3.0 technology that also boosts content creation applications.
With support for 8 DIMMS, the Designare can handle 128GB of DDR4 at up to 3400Mhz memory in quad channel. During testing I was able to reach 3400Mhz using XMP without any issues with a 16GB kit.
The Designare has the PCIe lanes to provide three 16X slots, widely spaced making them ideal for graphics for more NVMe drives.

To better cement this board as a workstation, the Designare comes with dual Intel GbE LAN adapters. I did not test out the cFosSpeed accelerator software. The board also comes with dual band wireless with Bluetooth built in as well.

The LED lighting has everyone drooling in a unanimous "I want that computer". The LED lighting can be set in BIOS and or in Windows.
A few of the artists are impressed the by the specifications and already on X79 and X99 platforms with 64GB + memory but the new NVMe drives are the ultimate must have in content creation.
You can feel the metal armor that reinforces the PCIe and DDR4 slots actually provides additional support. More so for the PCIe slots as high end graphics cards are very heavy and this keeps them firmly in place.
